RE: Northpoint Drive Extension / Construction Plans
Dear Mr. Taylor:
The City of Coppell has received and reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments
to offer:
1. Construct ADA ramps at the intersection of S.H. 121 frontage road and Northpoint Drive.
2. Provide a cross section view of Northpoint Drive with a 6" crown.
3. Provide a note to remove existing asphalt in the existing median at the west end of the
existing Northpoint Drive.
4. Provide drainage easement documents for the easements located on the north and south side
of Northpoint Drive at the S.H. 121 frontage road. Also, a letter of permission will be
needed to grade to drain on the south side of the proposed double 5'x2' box culvert (see
sheet 5 of 11).
5. Eliminate the proposed 45 degree angles in the proposed water line where it connects to the
existing water line in Northpoint Drive.
6. A TxDOT permit must be provided to the City before construction will be allowed to begin.
7. Revise the note regarding the contact for Lone Star Gas on sheet 7 of 11.
8. Provide a railing on the south side of the double 5'x2' box culvert headwall.
9. Provide a map showing the locations of cross sections in the HEC-2 hydraulic models which
have been submitted to the City.
There are various other minor comments throughout the plans. Once these comments have been
addressed, the marked up plans along with two revised sets of plans should be resubmitted to the
