Dear Sirs:
The undersigned has been in communication with Southland
Contracting regarding the letter from Brian Erikson. Southland has
agreed to delay mobilization to the East Bethel Road Cul-de-sac
until Monday, December 27, 1993. On Monday they will proceed with
digging the bore pit and continue to proceed with the work.
Kenko understands the City's desire to minimize the disruption
to its residents during the holidays. However, as we discussed via
telephone, an extended shutdown of the micro-tunneling operation
while construction is in a critical state could have disastrous
impact. It is absolutely essential that 8outhland be permitted to
continue with this run of pipe into the cul-de-sac.
