RE: Royal Lane Extension North ( .nal Construction Plan Approval)

As part of the final plan approval, we reviewed the Trench Safety Plans on
this project. Enclosed, please find a copy of approved Trench Safety
Plans for your use. In order to assure that all comments from other City.
staff such as Public Works, Fire Department, etc, have been satisfied,
please contact each department. We assume all comments, have been
addressed, since you submitted six (6) sets of final construction plans
for approval on February 8, 1989, and other multiple sets with requested
revisions by Steve Morton submitted on February 16, 1989.
Kevin Peiffer, Plan Reviewer, and the Public Works Department have these
plans under final review and sign-off. When we receive their sign-off, we
will stamp the plans approved and distribute them.
Please note the following comments, addressing some issues concerning this
project:
In response to your inquiry regarding use of cement treated base,
instead of lime stabilization. I would like to indicate that we
would entertain this method, if proven to soundly replace lime
without quality loss.
In your request you cited the use of cement stabilization on
Denton Tap Road project. The Contractor of the Denton Tap Road
project finally decided to utilize lime stabilized base instead of
cement afterall, due to tedious quality control and lack of success
to attain the standards required by the project specificationS/City
Standards. Should you wish to proceed with this method, we ask that
you provide us with a soil report, andy our reco~sendations etc..
Upon Connell Development Company's request, we can prepare a pro-rata
ordinance for water and sewer utilities, installed by Connell for our City
Council's consideration and approval.
