Repainting of the 1.5 Million Gallon Elevated Storage Tank
Gentlemen:
On March 3, 2000, the City of Coppell issued a notice to proceed for the work required to repaint the interior
bowl of the 1.5 Million Gallon Elevated Storage Tank. That notice established a contract completion date of
May 2, 2000 for placing the tank back in service. In accordance with Addendum Number 3, dated January 26,
2000, all items of work on the tank were to be completed by no later than June 2, 2000. This date was
adjusted seven (7) calendar days by the notice to proceed.
This letter serves to verify that your completion date for all items of work on this project is now June 9, 2000.
As the City reports no construction activity at the tank for some time, you are hereby directed to provide
adequate labor, equipment and materials to complete all items of work within the allotted contract time. This
includes adequate time for the City to conduct a final inspection and your completion of any reasonable punch
list the City or we may develop.
Please indicate your receipt of this directive and respond with your revised schedule and anticipated date for
final inspection and walk-through of this project. If you need any clarification or additional direction, please
do not hesitate to contact this office.
