SS9301-CS 931022To: Frank Trando, Interim City Manager From: Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E., City Engineer~..~-~ RE: Grapevine Creek Sanitary Sewer ProJeCt SS 93-0~/ Date: October 22, 1993 As per our conversation this morning, I have contacted Dan Frettinger, with Kenko, Inc., concerning the current status of the property behind Mr. Seraphin's house. Mr. Frettinger informed me that they did have crews lined up to start work on Monday, October 18, 1993 but the rain obviously impeded their ability to work. They do have people on the project today working the dirt and preparing the property to gear up again for Monday, October 25th to replace Mr. Seraphin's yard. I informed Mr. Frettinger that the Mayor and several Council Members have been contacted concerning this issue and that the City may be contacting the president of their company in regards to this project. The name given to me as the president of the company was Jeffrey McGrand, (909)795-2568. Mr. Frettinger stated that he had been speaking with Vern McGrand concerning this issue. As you and I discussed, I am as frustrated about this situation as Mr. Seraphin. It is my opinion that I have conveyed information to Mr. Seraphin that has been conveyed to me through our contractor and because that has not been followed through with by the contractor for what ever reason, it has made me look less than reputable in the eyes of Mr. Seraphin. We are doing everything and trying to exert as much pressure as we can to bring this to a amenable conclusion for both the City, the contractor and the property owner. At this time, there has not been any perceivable damage to the property, however, Gan'eth Campbell stated that a small portion of the property has sloughed off due to the rains this week. With good weather, a full work force will be on the project October 25th, 1993 to restore Mr. Seraphin's property back to its original condition. If I can provide any additional information please feel free to contact me at your convenience. cc: Garreth Campbell, Inspector file/kgriffin/ss9301/~eraphin.ltr
