Request for Information #376 is from DeAnna Johnson in which she requests several things:
1. Considerations for actual route taken for the Grapevine Creek Sanitary Sewer Line:
She has previously been provided a document entitled "Alternate Route Considerations
Grapevine Creek Sanitary Sewer Trunk Main - Branch 1" generated by the Ginn
Corporation. In addition to that document, Wayne Ginn provided several handwritten
pages generally explaining the project and the reasons why it was not designed in various
locations. I am including only the additional information from Wayne Ginn with the
response for the Request for Information as Ms. Johnson already has the mentioned
document.
2. Cost estimates for the actual project and for Route 1. '~ ....
I am providing cost estimates for the actual project and Route 1. I have spoken with
Wayne Ginn concerning the cost estimate for Route 1. Route l~as a route that would
have placed the new sanitary sewer in the same easement as the existing sanitary sewer.
The cost estimate for Route 1 was basically the original estimate. This option was not
seriously considered because of the following:
1) the easements are extremely close to the existing houses
2) heavy landscaping
3) timber or concrete retaining walls on 24 lots
4) swimming pools in the easement on 10 - 12 lots
5) decks on 12 lots
6) garages, carports, wooden sheds etc. on 12 - 15 lots
7) concrete paving, drives, patios on 12 -15 lots
Once the above encroachments were identified, it was decided that this was really not a viable
location for the construction of the new sanitary sewer. Therefore, a detailed cost estimate was
never generated for Route 1.
To the best of my knowledge I have attempted to address all the Request for Information from
DeAnna Johnson. If you should need any additional information please feel free to contact me
