RE: Grapevine Creek Sewer
Microtunneling Option
Plan Revisions
Dear Mr. Griffin:
We have reviewed staff comments on the above referenced subject; and have
addressed the concerns as follows:
1. The area at the end of the cul-de-sac (Sta. 95 +45), where concerns about
tying the existing sewer line to the proposed line, is in a difficult location. At this
point in time, we have no '"oetter" solution than what is shown. We have looked at
different alternatives and determined that when construction is being done in that
area, and existing facilities are exposed, then another solution may be determined.
2. Comment to re-calculate sewer length on new alignment. The new distances
by "scaled" measurements, not surveyed, were determined. In actuality, the
distances installed in the field will be basis for measurement and payment.
3. Regarding comment to show street cut areas with dimensions, it is difficult to
tie down exactly the areas to be disturbed by the contractor. Contractor will be
responsible for repairing or replacing any concrete he disturbs.

4. With regards to comments about moving MH's so as to miss something, or so
as not to block a street or driveway, we have no objections to having the manholes
field adjusted. Profiles will not be affected much, but we caution that the manholes
should not be relocated too far from where they are shown on the plans.
5. Details A & B on sheet 6 were deleted.
Under separate cover, we are transmitting three sets of full size prints.
Should you have any further questions or comments, please contact our office.
Yours truly,
H. Wayne Ginn, P.E.
