Re: Moore Rd. - GTE Construction
Dear Steve:
Per our conversation of July 13, 1987, regarding the planned
cable construction along the west side of Moore Rd. by GTE, you
may notify GTE that they may proceed with the work at this time.
Ashlar Contracting Co. is currently completing the final punch
list items on that project. Since we have already sent Ashlar a
copy of the final punch list, we feel that the records clearly
show what they are responsible for on this project in order to
obtain a final completion. Therefore, if GTE does get started
now, we do not foresee any problems arising between GTE and
Ashlar that would create confusion on Ashlar obtaining final
completion. The reason that we desire to have GTE get started at
this time is so the residents along the west side of Moore Rd.
can have grass growing in front of their property as soon as
possible.
We have discussed this work with GTE to let them know that
correspondence would be sent to them later this week which would
allow them to begin scheduling this work. Your formal notice to
GTE will be consistent with their request in their letter to you
dated May 18, 1987 of which we were copied. We would like to
request for you to copy us on your correspondence with them.
Also, per their correspondence, we sent GTE the Moore Road
construction plans on 5/19/87 that they had requested.
It is our understanding that you shall do the inspection and
acceptance of the work performed by GTE. Feel free to call upon
our field staff should questions or conflicts arise on Moore Road
as a result of GTE's work versus the Moore Road Improvements
project.
