FROM:
RE:

Complaint from residents John and Pamela Robinson
On May 6, 1987, at 4:15 p.m., I received a call from Mr. John Robinson of 540
Christi Lane. I also recieved a follow-up letter (copy attached) from Mr. Robinson
dated May 6, 1987. Mr. Robinson stated that the Mexican workers from the
Moore Road construction crew are continuously using the water in their front
and back yards. He also stated that it is very alarming to his wife to have them
constantly in the yard.
I went to the Moore Road construction site, and spoke with the contractor there
installing the sidewalks. He admitted that they had used the Robinsonon's water.
I informed them that they could not go onto private proerty, and that they could
be arrested for trespassing if this continued.
I had also requested that a Police Officer meet me at Moore Road and Christi
Lane. The Officer arrived at this time and gave a verbal warning to the
construction workers. The contractor agreed that they would not trespass on
the Robinson's property anymore, and stated that they should be finished with
their work there by Friday, May 8, 1987.
I then went to the Robinson residence to assure Mrs. Robinson that the situation
had been resolved. Mrs. Robinson was not available at that time; however,
I did speak with her son and left my business card for her.
If yOU need any further information, please let me know.

Re: 540 Christi Lane/ Residence / John and Pamela Robinson
Dear Mr. Morton:
To back up my phone call of today, please be aware that there is an ongoing usage
of my residencial water by the Moore Road construction crews. As I stated to you,
the Mexican/American workers have been using our water to fill buckets and to wash
their hands. My wife finds their presence in our front and back yard alarming
especially when she walks out and encounters them face to face. If you will notice
their physical appearance and inability to speak english, I think you could under-
stand this feeling.
In addition, our hose has been left running on two separate occasions. The first
time I found it running in our back yard, I dismissed it as an oversight by a
family member. This was about two weeks ago. The second time it was found running
in our front yard during a period of time While we were out of town. It ran for
about four days on this occasion. It was at that time that we saw and heard the
workers using the water hose. My wife can hear the water being turned on even at
the other end of the house due to the noise of the water running thru the pipes. She
then goes to the window and sees what is happening. As I stated, she is afraid to
call the police due to her fear of what they might angrily do.
I would appreciate your prompt attention and resolution to this problem. We have
had so many other incidents relating to this road construction, hopefully this one
will be easily resolved.
Very truly yours,
JR/nr
