Attention: J. W. Bryan, P.E.
Gentlemen:
The following information is provided to keep you informed on
the status of projects in Coppell:
1. The City has annexed a parcel of land north of Denton Creek
and east of Denton Tap. The Developer will construct
approximately half of the roadway.
2. The City has initiated annexation of land west of the
Trinity and east of its City Limits that is currently in
Dallas County.
3. The City has also directed the City Attorney to explore
annexation of Belt Line right-of-way north of the DPL
Electric Generating Station.
4. The City has authorized our firm to proceed with the design
of the Denton Tap and Belt Line Road (east/west). The
prepared schedules and budgets are attached.
5. The City has authorized First Southwest Corporation to
proceed with preparation for issuance of CO's to construct
the various projects.
6. The City is in the process of awarding a contract to Ed Bell
Construction Company for the construction of Belt Line Road
from I635 to Denton Tap.
7. The City will "test" its first street assessment program on
the Belt Line Road project. The outcome of this program
will probably influence how much the City requests in County
participation on the other projects.
