Blast stopped at approximately 3:30 p.m. Let dust settle then sweep off blasted area prior to coating application. Blasted areas were blown down with compressed air and then coated with primer. A brush blast over previously applied primer was also performed. Airless spray application started at 6:10 p.m. using 2 spray guns - 417 tips. Also abrasive blast to exterior bottom ofpainter's rail during blast of pedestal. Blast completed at 4:00 p.m. Blowdown with compressed air and then let air clear. 8 1/2 weld seams blasted today continuing clockwise from 6-8-99's area. Areas completed today on south and west side. Airless spray application of Tnemec Series 20 to bare metal areas. The DFT's are noted in table area. The minimum required by specification is 10.0 mils. The low areas found will be recoated today along with a brush touch up to pin holes in welds. Most of the low areas were found on outer ceiling plate and wall / ceiling brace pieces. Some of the roof beams were also a little low. Small holidays of primer showed on bottoms of some roof beams. Overall the ceiling looked pretty good and today's touch up coating should complete the ceiling area. Kodak photo-flow was added to sponge water. Eight (8) holidays were found in various places on wall. These areas marked with chalk and later touched up with Tnemec Series 20 coating. The holiday detector test was performed on walls from painter's rail down to bottom weld of upper cone sheet. Contractor is in process of removing the remainder of dust from floor area in preparation for application of finish coat. Area to be finish coated today includes remainder of lower cone sheets, raised floor, flat floor, bottom 8' of over flow pipe and wet side of access tube. Brush touch up to holiday test occurred from 12:05 p.m. to 12:15 p.m. Then start airless spray application to above noted areas. Also brush in all welds prior to spray application. Spray application to dry side of access tube also performed today. A roller applied coat of Tnemec Series 74 Tank White was applied to underside of exterior painter's rail today.
