Keith, just so you are aware. Atmos declined the franchise utility meeting next week. This will be the 3
meeting they’ve declined.
We received their plans after the deadline we set for our submittal to the City.
My email to Atmos is below.
I’ll keep you posted on it.

George, we are putting a significant effort into coordinating the franchise utilities with the Old Town Coppell
project.
We are about to complete the design, including a plan for installing conduit, trenching for Atmos facilities.
This project will bid soon but we will need you to validate the plans prior to them being complete. We did not
receive your plans before our communicated deadline to the City.
It is critical that we meet with the City to discuss any concerns from either party.
Considering there is joint trenching, it is critical that we have all utilities present in the same meeting.
We have made multiple attempts to get specific information from Atmos prior to deadlines to the city. We have
also made multiple attempts to include Atmos in the coordination meetings. You have not been able to attend
at least the last 2 meetings.
I recommend attendance at this meeting as opposed to the City having to schedule a special meeting solely for
Atmos.
Please let me know if this will work out.
If not, we need to rope in the City on coordinating with you.

Chris, I already have something scheduled around that same time of May 24th. I maybe able to conference for
about 30 minutes or so if that would help.
Thanks

George, anything as far as plans on your end?
Just so you know what we are doing. We anticipate having conduit for your gas line in more than just crossing
areas.
We will need it where the trench runs beneath the sidewalk or paving as well. This is due to we don’t want to
tear up the surface work if you came in afterweards.

George, one of the trench details shows gas next to communication in the trench. It doesn’t give a separation
requirement though.
How many inches is the separation (Horizontal) between gas and communications?
Electric is still at the bottom of the trench.

Yes gas is on top. A pvc pipe for crossings only will be required. A six inch pvc pipe will be the only requirement.
If gas is installed before the streets are installed, then know crossings will be required.

Yes at what? Yes to using PVC conduit? If so, let me know the diameter you need so that we can finish this up.
Also, if there is a certain spec, let me know.
And if you have any pull boxes or hand holds that need to be templated in.

George, we are using that typical trench section that I provided to you from ONCOR. It shows gas on top.
Are we putting in conduit for you to pull your gas line through? If not, then how will you install gas while the

contractor is building those trenches and conduits for the other utilities?
We will have to backfill those trenches and then are building road, sidewalk etc. on top of it.
It would probably be easier for us to install conduit 3” or 4” PVC and then you come back later and put your gas
line through it.
Thoughts?

We need gas at every lot, except the two parking lots. I think the Atmos guy got that in our joint utility meeting?
BTW-Apparently your friend at Oncor is working on this finally.

Greg, hope you’re doing fine.
Gas, natural gas. Are there any other areas within the development that you anticipate needing gas other than
the proposed restaurant lots?
Thanks
Chris
