Dear Mr. Miller:
Per the City's direction, please submit to our office a unit
price to extend the existing 6" waterline on Carter Drive
east across Moore Road (60± LF) and tie into the existing 12"
waterline. Also submit a unit price to install complete-in-
place a 6" gate valve on this waterline extension. The gate
valve quoted and installed shall conform to Section 07500,
Part 582.2 B, paragraph 4, page 36, Ga~e Valves, of the
contract specifications.
The waterline unit price should reflect the cost per linear
foot to install, complete-in-place, 6" PVC (blue pipe) DR-14,
Class 200 pipe with a minimum 48" cover. Said unit price
shall also be sufficient compensation for any installing or
removing of thrust blocking, all fittings, labor, tools,
equipment, testing, disinfecting, and incidentals required
for the installation of this waterline.
Installation shall conform to the City of Coppell standard
construction detail sheet no. SD-16. An open cut trench one
half the roadway width at a time across Moore Road will be
allowed if proper barricades, flagmen, etc., are provided per
the Texas Uniform Traffic Control Manual. During the
evenings or weekends, two-way traffic must be maintained.
Enclosed is a plan showing the location of the proposed 6"
waterline extension and 6" gate valve. Please call if you
