Moore Road Improvements
Dear Mr. Miller:
The Coppell City Council on October 29, 1985, awarded the
contract for the Moore Road Improvements Project to Ashlar
Contracting Company. The contract awarded was for a total
bid price of $1,938,351.95, which reflects their decision to
construct the base bridge vs. the alternate. The City
Council did indicate, however, that they would convert to the
alternate bridge design if the bridge railing on the base
bridge could be utilized on the alternate at a reasonable
cost. A change order will be needed for the bridge railing
revisions on the alternate bridge and to adjust the total
contract price. Contract time is 300 calendar days with
liquidated damages of $750.00 per calendar day.
Enclosed herewith are six (6) sets of contract documents to
be executed by you and returned to 'our office by no later
than December 2, 1985 (see Contract Specifications Section
00100, Page 10).
Also enclosed are two term agreements with Explorer Pipeline
Company which need to be reviewed and executed by your firm
and are to be included as a part of these Contract Documents
and Specifications (see Specifications Section 00650,
paragraph 1.19, page 10).
Per the Contract Specifications, there are 100% Performance
and Payment Bonds required along with a Certificate of
Insurance with limits of coverage as stated therein. Also,
all principal subcontractors must be indicated on the bid
5orms (yellow).

Upon execution of the Contract Documents by both parties, two
(2) copies will be returned to you for your records along
with your bid bond.
