Re. R6ad Improvements - Belt Line Road at
MacArthur Boulevard - Signals & Signage
Dear Mr. Montemayor:
A review of the latest revision for the "Road Improvements - Belt
Line Road at MacArthur Blvd." by our Traffic Engineer has
produced the need for a number of corrections. The needed
corrections are marked in red on the attached plan sheet.
Corrections needed are as follows:
The 4" solid edge line stripes on Belt Line Road both east
and west of MacArthur must be white in color in order to
conform with MUTCD requirements.
The directional arrow lane designation signs on Belt Line
Road both east and west of MacArthur should be located with
reference to the median nose on Belt Line at MacArthur Blvd.
The distance is 420 feet.

The "Left Lane Must Turn Left" sign in the median of
MacArthur south of Belt Line Road should be located 300 feet
south of the gore of the painted median on MacArthur south
of Belt Line Road.
Since the painted median on MacArthur Blvd. south of Belt
Line Rd. divides traffic moving in the same direction, the
paint and buttons must be white in color to conform to the
MUTCD requirements.

Standard railroad crossing pavement markings must be
installed on MacArthur Blvd. both north and south of the
railroad tracks.
