Proposed Schedule for Completion of Beltline and MacArthur
Intersection and MacArthur North
We are anticipating the completion of the above referenced project by August
10, 1987. To achieve this optimistic goal, the following items must be met:
Temporary Signals must be installed by July 17, 1987. The signals will
be set on flash for a period of three (3) weeks.
To acclimate traffic to the existance of the traffic signal and to acclimate
traffic to the divided intersection traffic pattern.
During this three (3) week period, the following items must be met:
· Ginn, Inc. needs to approve the traffic striping pattern by July 17, 1987.
· The intersection in transition will be striped and medians buttoned and
striped, and left turn lanes set.
East/West traffic will then be divided to the North/South side of Beltline.
(Done and completed during the week of July Z0th).
· The signage needs to be received, assembled and installed by no later
than August 10, 1987.
Controller needs to be installed and actuated with the Railroad Crossing
by August 7, 1987.
MacArthur North, in this same time frame; the following must take place:
· Due to Terra's contract with their Landscape Company, they are in the
process of shipping fine grading and re-hydromulching the medians and
the right-of-way of MacArthur. Estimated time of completion is two
(Z) weeks.
· They will need to sweep the streets, and mark the lanes and left turn
lanes with buttons.
· The final walk through and punch list will need to be performed. A
preliminary walk through has already been done..~, ....... -~
The Railroad will need to install the crossing pads, crossing arms, and
they will need to provide a bore so they can actuate the railroad crossing
with the intersection signalization.
As per your request, I have drafted a letter to Dave Andrews of St. Louis and
Southwestern Railroad informing him of this schedule and requesting his
cooperation.
This is a very optimistic schedule. If any of the above mentioned items are
delayed for any reason, it will directly affect the completion date.
