ST8401-CS 861217 (2)The City With A Beautiful Futu e P. O. Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 214 - 462 - 0022 December 17, 1986 TO: FROM: RE: Frank Trando, Interim City Manager Steven Morton, Development Inspector Meeting with Nathan Maiers, 12/17/86, 10:30 a.m. Beltline & MacArthur Intersection Met with Nathan Maiers, Tom Dixon, Monty Mayor and surveyors for Nathan Maiers Consulting Engineers on site in reference to depressions in Beltline Road. The depressions are caused by the gutter line of MacArthur being carried through the intersection. This is not by approved plans and specs nor is it a design practice for typical intersections. This was brought to the attention of APAC, Janet Vick, Tom Dixon and their surveyors numerous times by myself and Randy Flemming while the intersection was in the rough grade and final grade stages, prior to any concrete being poured. In each instance I was told by Janet Vick, Tom Dixon and their surveyors, "The clown is in MacArthur Blvd. and has been surveyed four [4) times to verify it is by plans." In my research I found it was not by plans nor had anyone in Ginn, Inc. or City of Coppell agreed to this design. Nathan Maier acknowledged my findings to be correct and assumed responsibility for the correction of this problem. Nathan agreed to submit a detail of the intersection with a design to illuminate depressions and a time frame for completing intersection and a procedure to correct the above stated problem. FT/dgc
