RE: Railroad Crossing, MacArthur Blvd.
Mr. Powel 1:
I am writing to clarify a confusing portion of the Street or
Highway Easement presented to the City for the crossing of
MacArthur Blvd. at the S.S.W. railraod.
The document as submitted by the railroad references two existing
crossings in paragraph 16. The paragraph reads "...at Mile Posts
602.28 and 606.49...". The first Mile Post is a typographical
error and should read 606.28. Mile Post 606.28 is the current
Allen Road crossing. Mile Post 606.49 is the crossing for the
stables.
The City Council action of February 18, 1986 requested that only
one of these crossings be closed in the signed document. The one
that should be closed would be the existing crossing at Mile Post
606.28; or in other words, the existing Allen Rd. crossing.
I hope this will help you in drafting the final document.
