Re: Freeport Parkway Final Plat
MAR 2 9 Ig8'9
Dear Mr. Doyle:
Reference is made to your memo dated 3/9/89 regarding the
Freeport Pkwy. Final Plat.
First, it is my understanding that the preliminary plat has been
approved by the City Council. If this is the case, the only
thing that would be involved on the final plat is obtaining all
the signatures from the party that is going to dedicate the
right-of-way. It is my understanding that the physical survey on
the ground has been accomplished and this is represented on the
preliminary plat.
There is no way that we can estimate the number of hours that it
would take to obtain these final signatures. If the party does
not wish to dedicate the final plat, the only option left to the
City is to pursue condemnation. This process could require a lot
of work.
If the party will voluntarily sign the final plat, then it is a
matter of putting it on the Council Agenda and having the Council
accept the final plat and file it with the City and County. From
this standpoint, there could be a minimum of a few hours of work
involved in obtaining the final plat signatures.
We will be happy to work with you on this matter.
Sincerely,
· ~y~ ' , .E.
