RE: .Recor~nendation for Bid 0018
After review of the bids for replacement of the aluminum bridge railing
on Freeport Pkwy,, I recoranend the purchase for the materials only from
GSI. This reconxnendation is made for a couple reasons. One, we must conserve
funds. This type of railing can be installed by street personnel. Two,
this type of railing accepts the tamper proof bolts, which detere the
apparently inevitable attempt of theft.
This order will have to be funded by the insurance claim check received
by the Finance Department.
