Dear Ms. Vick:
It has recently come to my attention that your firm is managing the design
and construction of MacArthur Boulevard in Coppell, Texas. It is my
understanding the proposed boulevard will tie into Belt Line Road and
proceed north across the St. Louis and Southwestern Railroad at a point
west of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.
Continental Pipe Line Company recently acquired, and is presently operat-
ing, · a 6-inch high pressure petroleum products' pipeline in the vicinity of
the proposed construction. The pipeline runs east to west, and is located
north of Belt Line Road, between Belt Line and the railroad. The pipeline
may be labeled as "American Petrofina" on some earlier drawings and plats.
! would appreciate you forwarding plans, along with a construction
schedule, to this office at your earliest convenience for review to
determine what modifications may be required to the pipeline to
accommodate the proposed boulevard. Furthermore, Continental Pipe Line
local personnel can assist you in determining the exact location and depth
of the pipeline. I recommend that the location be accurately determined on
your proposed constructiOn plans. Please feel free to contact either one of
