Dear Mr. Wankum:
Subject:
Central Regional Wastewater System
Coppell Interceptor
MacArthur Improvements
City of Coppell
In response to your letter of May 20, 1985, the Authority has reviewed the
construction standards to be utilized on the point of entry into the
Authority's Coppell Interceptor at Station 161+38. The Authority approves
your request based upon the information submitted which includes construction
plans for MacArthur Boulevard Improvements dated September, 1984, and updated
November 23, 1984, but is subject to the following requirements.
1. Notation should be made on the plans indicating that the Authority's
161+38 should be constructed as follows.
Plug the 33" R.C.P. stubout with 3000 psi concrete with a
minimum depth of 8 inches for R.C.P. point of entry pipe and
10 inches for P.V.C. pipe.
b. Concrete should be cured for a minimum of 72 hours before
disturbing. (This must be verified by Trinity River Authority
employees)
c. Core drill 21 inch hole (for 18 inch sanitary sewer - a 18 inch
core drill for a 15 inch sanitary sewer.)

(817) Metro 263-2251
d. Place two to three "0" rings on the 18" point of entry pipe and
grout around the pipe.
e. Construct a formed concrete block foundation under the 33 inch
R.C.P. stubout and the 18 inch point of entry.
e
On plan sheet 17 of 25 a drainage ditch is shown 35 feet south of
Line "A". If this drainage ditch crosses the existing 12 inch
Trinity River Authority sewer line precautions must be made to
eliminate erosion and to protect the pipe.
4. All meter station or points of entry approved by the Authority must
be constructed within one year after their acceptance by the Authority.
It is understood that this point of entry will serve the City of Coppell
and will be metered downstream at meter station 17.0E.
Please note on the plans that the Central Regional Wastewater System Engineering
Department must be contacted at least 72 hours prior to construction in
regards to this service connection.
In addition, personnel from the Treatment Plant must be onsite during
physical connection, as well as prior to any backfilling of the Authority's
facility in this area.
If I may be of additional assistance, please contact me.
