If they don't know what they're looking at, they may not want to take on the liability. We can work with whatever lab you need to use. Keith Keith Marvin, P.E. Project Engineer (972) 304-3681 >>> "Greg Yancey" <gregyancey@verizon.net> 9/28/2011 11:22 AM >>> I guess it's worth a shot. I'm a little nervous that they aren't accustomed to satisfying the reporting requirements for HUD though. These testing dollars aren't that big in the overall project whereas the downside risk for us if Darling can't close is deadly. If JRJ has done some residential work, they'll know when our lab has to be there to observe the fill placement. Gregory K. Do you want me to call Eric and talk through that point with him? >>> "Greg Yancey" <gregyancey@verizon.net> 9/28/2011 11:11 AM >>> Just hung up with Terracon and they don't do residential. I'll contact Alpha or Reed Engineering who I normally use. It would have been nice to coordinate with just one group. Gregory K. I think it would work best for timing if they were able to get in there and work between now and October 15th. That way we know there will not be a conflict with JRJ's work schedule. We have been working with Eric Cleavland over there, if you need a contact. Keith Keith Marvin, P.E. Project Engineer (972) 304-3681 >>> "Greg Yancey" <gregyancey@verizon.net> 9/28/2011 6:23 AM >>> Because of the way things are turning out for us with Darling Homes, it looks like we need to proceed with getting our geotech done. At this time, we need to get our borings done and furnish the report to Darling. Going forward, we will have to prove to Darling that the fill placement was observed by the geotech and complies with HUD 79g requirements. Is it a problem for you if we engage them and allow them to work? Thanks, Gregory K. Yancey Provident Company (214) 215-9400 v
