RE: Saintsbury Traffic Signal & Right Turn Lane
Construction Plan Review Comments — 1st Submittal
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
1) Traffic Control - Dividend Drive is still shown incorrectly. If GIS info needed, contact us.
2) Removal Plan- Label proposed & existing utilities on plan. (Prop SS by others will need to be
in place prior to deceleration lane)
3) Intersection Improvement Plan-
a. Add stop here on red signs & lane use signs as noted on plan.
b. ADA ramp on southeast side appears that the truncated domes are not at the
vehicle /pedestrian conflict point.
4) Traffic Signal General Notes - Specify countdown pedestrian heads.
5) Traffic Signal Layout -
a. Shift cabinet door opening to west as noted.
b. Mount video detection cameras at center of lanes.
c. Is Saintsbury a Drive or a Street? (revise plans as necessary)
d. Can run 6 & 7 be eliminated & route from cabinet along clockwise direction to ped
pole?
e. Run 2 new fiber lines from Dividend to Saintsbury to Lakeshore cabinets. Cannot
splice into existing fiber line.
Please make the necessary changes and submit these marked -up plans and two sets of revised plans to
the City for review. There may be additional comments marked throughout the plans and specifications
that may need to be addressed as well. If you have any question please contact this office at your
convenience.
