Dan,
Here is what I think we should do in this situation:
Place a note on the plans with a bubble around the existing waterline stating "Contractor to adjust waterline as
needed if conflict arises in the field" Or something to that affect. We could sit here and engineer something so
complicated that it could cost us $20,000 when all we need is a $5000 fix in the field. Please add a pay item to
the spec book to include Waterline adjustment at Allen Road. In the description make sure that it covers any
necessary water pipe, fittings, concrete blocking and so forth. See attached description example we have used
on other projects.

George: We need to go under the storm sewer in DeForest due to the proximity of the proposed sanitary
sewer. I wouls like to bring the waterline out of the barrier free ramp if possible. Let me know what you think
