George: I checked with our traffic engineering & transportation folks regarding this question. It is our opinion
that there needs to be a traffic rated barrier on top of the spread footing retaining wall. I also checked with
some local designers and they all agree that there needs to be a traffic rated rail.

What is your professional opinion in regards to the necessity of a traffic barrier on top of the txdot style retaining
wall? The PR1 railing proposed is not crash rated for vehicles.
