Dear Jay:
Enclosed are cost estimates for Denton Tap Road median openings
and left turn lanes provided to me on January 27, 1989 by Mr.
Russell Doyle, City Engineer. Apparently'Univest has requested a
left-turn lane at Station 178+17.77 since a cost estimate for
this construction is included in the enclosed documents, however,
this facility was not included in our request to the City.
Mr. Doyle has advised me that a Change Order request for the
median openings and left turn lanes has been prepared and is
scheduled for consideration by the City Council at their meeting
on February 14, 1989. He stated that committment letters from
ABQ and Univest to pay for these facilites should be provided to
him prior to this council meeting. He acknowledged receipt of
your letter of committment to pay for costs associated with
construction of the median openings and left turn lanes at
Station 195+28 (north of Parkway Boulevard intersection).
I have given a copy of this estimate to Dan Dowdey, Univest's
engineer, on January 27, 1989. Please contact me if you have any
questions.
