Ted Page 1 of 1 George Marshall - Water shut off on Sunday, January 23, 2001 From:   Brenda Olson <bbolson86@msn.com> To:   <utility@coppelltx.gov> Date:   1/22/2011 12:24 PM Subject:   Water shut off on Sunday, January 23, 2001 CC:   <citycouncil@coppelltx.gov>   Dear Sirs,   We are residents of 477 Wales Court in Coppell and would like an explanation as to why the City is allowing our water to be turned off between 9:00am and 12:00 noon on Sunday January 23rd.  We received the notice late Friday after close of business at the City providing me with no opportunity to discuss this matter with anyone at your department.  I have personally discussed this matter with Roger Dupre of 3D Paving and he offered no satisfactory explanation nor willingness to postpone the shut off to a more convenient time for the residents.  I thought this was a typo as no one could be possibly be that insensitive to turning off the water while all the residents are home and many like us are needing water to get ready to attend church.  He said that notice was appropriately given and that the time chosen was in coordination with the City.    As a long time resident, I know the City prides itself in its service it provides to its residents.  I know not every construction event goes off without issues and inconveniences and the sidewalk project is a great benefit to all of us but it seems very contrived to provide Notice late on a Friday for a Sunday event without opportunity to discuss the appropriateness of the timing with the City.  I would appreciate a response by return email or by calling 972.462.1621.   Regards,   Barry and Brenda Olson     file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4D3D3668City_...11/4/2011
