George,
Thank you.
As discussed I wanted to walk the job after Christmas and to be sure the City, Contractor and Owners
Representative are all on the same page and then we can proceed.
I am tentatively scheduling some time after lunch on Tuesday, December 28th and we can confirm a specific
time.
Thank you
Alen Hinckley

Mr. Hinckley,
I met with Roger early this morning. I was planning on giving you a call as to a time but Roger called and said he
was onsite and wanted to discuss it then.
Roger is going to work up a cost for the grading work and the special sod you requested. We had 300 sf of
retaining wall allocated to that segment of sidewalk. We will still need a wall adjacent to the monument sign.
Our plan is to have it in a horseshoe shape dying back into the slope and following the landscape edge/border
that is existing. The wall will be a tan/white similar to the rest of the retaining walls along Denton Tap.
The grading work will primarily be performed on the south side of the monument sign roughly from back of curb

on the parking lot with a gentle slope to the sidewalk with some "contouring" berms within to mimic the north
side of the monument sign. The north side will also receive grading work but not to the extent the south will. All
will be blended back in to look appropriate.
Any irrigation lines or heads encountered will be relocated to proper grade and reconnected to the system such
that your irrigation system will operate in the same manner it did prior to the sidewalk work.
Prior to sod placement, we will all look at the grading work and make sure it is correct.
Once I receive a cost from Roger, I will pass it along through the proper channels here at the city and then
discuss it further with you. Ken has asked that we get written approval of the additional grading from you prior
to us continuing.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thank You, George
