Construction officially began on November 1, 2011 for the Bethel Rd. portion between Freeport Pkwy. and the Mitchell St. intersection. Over the next several days you will see utility construction taking place on Bethel Rd. between Coppell Rd. and South Coppell Rd. Beginning on November 14, the intersection of South Coppell Rd./Mitchell St. and Bethel Rd. will be closed to through traffic. Detours between Bethel Rd. & Mitchell and Bethel Rd. & South Coppell Rd. will be maintained during the closure which is expected to last approximately two weeks. Upon completion of the intersection, Bethel Rd. will be limited to one direction westbound from Coppell Rd. to Freeport Pkwy. Traffic restrictions will last approximately 90 days. Access to businesses and homes will remain open during this time. Motorists are advised to follow all detour signs and work activity advisory signs. Information on the project's status will be disseminated by press releases, maintained on the city's website www.coppelltx.gov, via email with Coppell Clips, on our Facebook page www.facebook.com /pages /City -of- Coppell -TX and via Twitter feeds.
