Subject:Call to Mr. Timmerman
All,
I spoke to Mr. Timmerman just a few moments ago. He was apologetic for getting the staff riled up with his
comments. He re-explained the situation that occurred on Saturday. In addition he indicated he is not
necessarily onboard with the Farmers Market expanding to allow more vendors. However that is out of his
control.
I indicated that we would send one of our project engineers to assess the situation and determine what the best
course of action should be. I also reiterated that Amanda Vanhoozier continue to be the City's/Farmer's Market
Liaison so that the activities and needs can be coordinated. Mr. Timmerman agreed with that statement.
Ken, when you send Keith out, can you please let Amanda know so that she can relay that information to the
Market's representatives? The weather forecast doesn't show any rain for the next week or so; hopefully, that
buys us some time to get whatever needs to be corrected.
Also, I'll call Marvin Franklin and let him know that the City is working on the fixes and didn't drop the ball on
this issue.
Thanks, Mario
