Hi Keith:
Here’s a revised plan from David Alpha for Verizon.
He does not anticipate that Verizon will have any objection to paying an approved contractor to install this at
their expense.
I need to compare this to our plan to see what the variances are and if I need to ask David to make any
adjustments.
David said all he needs from us is the name of the sub JRJ plans to use; he will contract directly with the sub for
the Verizon infrastructure according to Verizon’s allowable. He said it’s unlikely there will be any cost dispute
over the allowable since the contractor is already in a joint trench.
Verizon requires platted easements before they will work outside of the right-of-way, so we will have to get well
ahead of JRJ’s calendar to make sure we’re done in advance. I’ve got a call into Mike Glenn at Glenn
Engineering about doing all of our work from this point forward.
Has JRJ presented a schedule yet?
Thanks,
Gregory K. Yancey

Greg, Good morning. Attached is a revised Redline DRAFT drawing that shows the additional street crossings
that would be required for Verizon to place their facilities.
Please contact me after your meeting with the city of Coppell today and we can discuss the next move to
getting the JTA kicked off..
Best Regards,

Greg, I have completed a DRAFT plan for the 1.5” Pipe & Hand Holes that Verizon would need placed, as well as
the street Crossings you would need to place, to serve this site.
I thought maybe this may be of help, at your meeting tomorrow with the City of Coppell…?
We need to compare this layout with Atmos, and Oncor, redlines to see where we may need to make changes
for the Joint Trenching effort…
Have a Good One!

Thanks Greg, It was my pleasure speaking with you today. I will call Verizon Section Manager and work that
end of the deal. I do not think this should be an issue as long as we all understand that you will place and pay
for all street crossings and be billed for any changes to the facilities required by you, or your subs, once the
Verizon facilitates have been placed.
Please, let me know who the JTA will be and how to best contact them, so I can send them a Joint Trench
Agreement (JTA) for their review and a proposal to do the work for Verizon.

Hi David:
Thanks again for all of your time today. Here is the correct site plan and plat.
Where you see the labels “dedicated alley” there is a five-foot joint utility easement planned.
I’ll talk to Keith Marvin at the City about the timing on that, it sounds like we need to get the easements platted
sooner.
Thanks again,

Greg, Good afternoon. Based on information provided to me, the developers were to place the utility
infrastructure within the development, per the city, which was to include piping for Verizon’s FiOS facilities,
and for Oncor power, to be placed to each of the buildings, at this site.
Therefore, If the developer is not going to place the entrance pipes, etc. for Verizon facilities, as mandated by
the city, then Verizon may not be able to serve this site with any type of communications services.
Please, advise as to when and why the decision was made, to not place these facilities, and by whom…

Hi Pat:
I’m following up about this project to see what we need to do to serve it since we are not able to provide a
conduit for Verizon at our expense.
If David Alpha is our new point of contact, could you forward this to him so we can determine our options?
Thanks,
Gregory K. Yancey
