Thanks George. I'll pass it on to the City Council. I'm glad things went well. Mario

Subject: Deforest Road Public Meeting
Mario,
Last night's Deforest Road Public Meeting went well. We had resident's sign in and then come by to
several tables to look at the plans & exhibits allowing them to ask questions and share their concerns.
Approximately 30 residents signed in. Most people understand why we are rebuilding the street and why
the trees need to be removed. They just can't wait till it is finished. People are concerned with the traffic
that will be on both Allen Road & Lake Forest. Because of the temporary speed cushions we are
installing, the concerns of speeding have been reduced. On Lake Forest, there are apparently existing
issues of parking near intersections and people are concerned that this will become a larger issue due to
the increased traffic. Several residents would like to see no parking on one side of Lake Forest. At this
time, we will not be pursuing no parking on one side of Lake Forest. As the project commences we will
continue to monitor the situation.
Nothing came up last night as a surprise. Tiseo Paving will begin construction the first part of January.
Thank You, George
