Jessica,
I have a call in with the North Central Texas Council of Governments to see what they use in their
population projections related to the average household size for multi family and single family. It appears
to me that we should use the different average household sizes for each (multifamily and single family) in
our calculations. I'll let you know when I hear from the NCTCOG.
Thanks,
Matt

Matt & George,
Attached are the original and updated maps of population by TSZ. We incorporated the apartment units
into the total unit count. The original density utilized was 3.49 people/unit. If the same density is applied to
both houses & apartment units, the new density is 2.73 people/unit. You can see that it changes the
distribution quite a bit.
We did use 1 people/unit on assisted living only. Let me know your thoughts & if you think that we should
use a different density for apartments vs single family.
