SUBJECT: Sidewalks Along Harris & Bethel School

The question that Tom Morton posed was, "Are sidewalks included in the
construction plans for the Harris/Bethel School Road construction?" The
answer is yes. However, only the sections adjacent to existing structures
will be constructed with the street construction. This includes the two
houses at the intersection of Brooks Lane with Harris Street and the 5
homes in the Shadowridge Estates subdivision on the north side of Bethel
School.
The other sections of the sidewalk will be constructed when the homes
adjacent to the street are constructed. This includes the Country Estates
subdivision, Chautauqua subdivision and the Big Cedar subdivision. This
construction schedule is in accordance with Appendix A, Specific
Requirements & Design Criteria, Section 8-B - Sidewalks, which states that
"sidewalk construction may be delayed until development of lots."
Delaying the construction of the sidewalks until the development of the
lots is intended to protect the sidewalks from being damaged during the
construction of the home.
