The construction work performed by Austin Paving Company during the month of May
included approximately 1,819 linear feet of storm sewer pipe in diameters of 42"
through 18". Other work included the installation of wye fittings for pipe to
pipe connections.
The Contractor will continue with the storm drainage construction during the month
of June and should complete all the underground work by about the middle of the month,
pending favorable weather conditions.
Rains and wet soil conditions during the early part of May prevented the Contractor
from working. Approximately four to six days were not favorable for construction work.

The installation of the proposed storm sewer system along Cotton Road and Esters Road
(Freeport Parkway) was approximately 90% complete by the end of June, 1981.
The Contractor requested the surveyors to begin the staking and layout for the paving
excavation, and during the month of July, the construction work should be started on
the subgrade preparation (lime stabilization).
The daily construction reports furnished by the City did not indicate the Contractor
lost any days of work during June due to inclement weather or wet soil conditions.

During the month of July, Austin Paving Company began the earth excavation and lime
stabilization of the subgrade. The placement of the concrete for the paving began
during the latter part of the month with the south one-half (east-bound lanes) of
Cotton Road and the east one-half (north-bound lanes) of Esters Road (Freeport
Parkway.
Other major work performed during the month of July included the excavation of the
drainage channel near the north end of Esters Road (Freeport Parkway).
It is anticipated that all of the concrete paving will be completed during the month
of August, pending favorable weather conditions.
There were no days of work lost by the Contractor during the month of July due to
inclement weather or wet soil conditions, according to the daily construction reports
submitted by the City.
