Provide ramps on both ends with landing. May need to modify median nose to fit.             -Please explain the reasoning for a need for a crosswalk at this point of the development.  We are not installing sidewalks along the proposed City of Dallas roadway (Saintsbury) that intersects Belt Line, and based on my discussion with Ken Griffin we are going to wait and install sidewalks along Belt Line as the property/lot along Belt Line develops.  Therefore no sidewalks will be in the area.  The ramps make sense for us to install during this phase.  If City still requires a crosswalk, then please clarify comment.  Comment 13 states that one crosswalk is required, but on your marked up plans you show a crosswalk on north and south side of median opening.  If City still requires crosswalk and only one is required, then we prefer to install crosswalk on north side.  Please confirm. Provide 1 pedestrian crossing Belt Line Road (stripe not absolutely necessary). We would prefer crossing on south side of Saintsbury to allow SB LT turn movement at the same time.  All of our signals are push button activated ped crossings. 14 Revise puppy tracks to tie to first left lane and not outside lane 15 Add stop bar for southbound Belt Line Road file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4E7A179DCity_...1/26/2012 Page 3 of 4 16 Provide 5 Sidewalk from intersection to south property line (will tie to new gas station on corner of Dividend Drive).            -Based on discussion with Ken Griffin, sidewalks are to be installed along Belt Line Road as the abutting lots are developed, therefore we were not designing/installing the walk during this phase.  Portions of the walk will veer in and out of the City of Dallas due to the right turn lanes.  Therefore coordination b/w the City of Coppell and the City of Dallas will be needed in the future when the sidewalk is to be installed.  Note that we are not installing sidewalks along Saintsbury either during this phase and will install them as the property develops.   Please confirm. Ok. As long as there will be sidewalk in the future along development's portion of Belt Line Road. 17 Dowel into existing lane Traffic Signal General Notes 18 Contractor will need to provide signal poles round with transformer base 19 Traffic signs shall be 3M DG3 reflective sheeting or equal 20 Provide Opticom multimode with GPS IR Traffic Signal Layout 21 Show existing fiber optic from pull boxes in median tie to cabinet splice 22 Show confirmation light wextension Transformer base and ILSN 23 Revise ILSN sign lettering.            -Are you just commenting on changing sign F to sign H?  Please clarify. Sign H is correct ILSN Street Name not Sign F (ped push Button) Specs -We are using City of Coppell boiler plate for Construction Specs, but a special spec for Emergency Management Response System is referenced two times in your comments (pay item #I-16 and #I-35) within the opticom detection.  Please provide this special spec.  Ignore comment - City uses Opticom multimode w/ IR & GPS. -What color painted finish is wanted?  City of Coppell gave us spec for Beige Brown (cure:  PRPL97006), seen on page 4-15 of Construction Specs.  However, there was a question of whether black was desired.  Please confirm color.  City is changing specification to semigloss Black powder coat.  See Quality Powder Coating in Carrollton (Jim).   ® Bradley Moss, PE , LEED AP (TX, OK, NC) file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4E7A179DCity_...1/26/2012 Page 4 of 4   12700 Park Central Drive Dallas, Texas  75251 Ph: 972-770-1300  Fax: 972-239-3820 brad.moss@kimley-horn.com   From: George Marshall [mailto:gmarshall@coppelltx.gov] Sent: Friday, September 16, 2011 3:58 PM To: Moss, Brad Cc: Ken Griffin Subject: Saintsbury Traffic Signal - (Northlake Cypress Waters)   Mr. Moss,   We have completed our review of the proposed traffic signal at Belt Line Road & Saintsbury.  The plans & specifications are ready for pickup at our office.  I have included our comment letter attached to this email however note that there may be additional comments on the plans & specifications.   Thank You, George     file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4E7A179DCity_...1/26/2012
