For the median nose we were trying to avoid having to relocate the existing two electrical boxes and the street light in the median, at least during this phase b/c there will not be a sidewalk in sight. Pulling back that nose will be in conflict with the light and boxes mentioned.  Thanks.  Sent from my iPhone On Sep 28, 2011, at 8:18 AM, "George Marshall" <gmarshall@coppelltx.gov> wrote: Brad,   The crosswalk needs to be 12' with stamped concrete.  I am not keen on this island nose on the median.  It creates a problem with drivers making a u-turn and becomes a maintenance issue.  Cutting in this crosswalk will require you to make modifications to this median nose anyway. Could you look at adjusting the nose to fit north of the crosswalk. You may want to look at a bidirectional ramp like TxDOT PED05 Type 5 for the ramp on the north east side.  We have used this ramp at similar locations with success. It would be nice if you used stamped concrete for both crosswalks since the intersection itself is in Coppell.  This would correspond with our Streetscape plan.   Thank You, George   George Marshall, PE City of Coppell Engineering 972-304-3562 >>> <brad.moss@kimley-horn.com> 9/27/2011 6:55 PM >>> George-   Any answer back yet on the crosswalk for Cypress Waters?  We are sending our plans out to bid on Thursday and we would like to have the Beltline improvements incorporated into the bid set of plans.  Attached is a PDF exhibit that shows the 15’ crosswalk across Beltline.  The ped poles are not finalized b/c we want to make sure you are okay with these file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4E82DCF5City_...1/26/2012 Page 2 of 3 ramp locations and crosswalk before we move those around.  The ramps and the 12’ crosswalk meet the City of Coppell details.  The landscape architect is also reviewing the ramp locations and style and may propose something different as this is the main entrance in to Cypress Waters and they may want to add some of their style to it as they did throughout the rest of the Cypress Waters development.  I will let you know what they propose.  The crosswalk crossing Saintsbury is within the City of Dallas so we left that width the same.   Besides the locations shown, the outstanding question I had for you was the need for stamped concrete now vs. later,   Please let me know your thoughts tomorrow morning if possible.   Thanks.   ® Bradley Moss, PE , LEED AP (TX, OK, NC)   <mime-attachment.png> 12700 Park Central Drive Dallas, Texas  75251 Ph: 972-770-1300  Fax: 972-239-3820 brad.moss@kimley-horn.com   From: Delmotte, Ryan Sent: Tuesday, September 27, 2011 6:10 PM To: Moss, Brad Subject: Belt Line   Brad,   file://C:\Documents and Settings\radloo\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4E82DCF5City_...1/26/2012 Page 3 of 3 Once we get the final ramp locations we can update the ped button locations.
