Ellum, III Town Administrator City of Coppell Post Office Box q78 Coppell, Texas 75019 RE: Paving and Drainage Improvements on Esters Road - Coppeil, Texas Dear Hr. Ellum.' At the very beginning of the above referenced project, the City had requested cost estimates based on a hO-foot and hq-foot face to face paving width, 6-inch and 8-inch reinforced concrete pave- merit section, and 6-inches of lime stabilized subgrade. This we did, and I believe that a decision was never made as to which paving width and pavement thickness would be used. Therefore, we recommend and are basing our paving design on a paving section having a hq-foot face to face paving width, 8-inch 3,000 lb. re- inforced concrete pavement and 6-inches of lime stabilized sub- grade (6~ lime). We feel that this pavement section would stand up very well to the heavy loads experienced in an industrial area. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to call. Very truly yours, HOGAN & RASOR, I NC, Eduardo Ho Pe~a 2933 F:lapublic Bank Tower Dallas, Texas 75201
