Ginn, Inc. nas ~o~ previously advised us that median openings and left-turn lanes can be included in this project upon agreement of property owners on both sides of the road on the locations. Pursuant to the above, enclosed is a copy of a letter dated October 7, 1988, that I sent to Mr. Karlsruher. In my letter I indicated that we are currently seeking an agreement with Univest Development Company, who owns property in Denton Tap Road across from ABQ south of Parkway Boulevard, on median opening locations between the Univest and ABQ properties. However, north of Parkway Boulevard, ABQ owns property on both sides of Denton Tap Road. In my letter to Mr. Karlsruher, I requested that Ginn, Inc. include the'median opening and left turn lanes in Denton Tap Road north of Parkway Boulevard, shown in concept on plans attached to my letter, in the Denton Tap Road project. This limited request was made due to two uncertainties: the time frame needed for an agreement to be worked out between Univest and ABQ on other proposed median openings south of Parkway Boulevard, and commencement of paving construction in Denton Tap Road which appears eminent. Therefore, since Mr. Karlsruher has informed me that the Denton Tap Road contractor may begin paving in December, 1988, please advise me of the following by November 15, 1988. Whether you can authorize Ginn, Inc. to proceed with including the requested median opening and left turn lanes in Denton Tap Road north of Parkway Boulevard, as shown on attached plans, in the current construction project. 6001 V~/. When must ABQ's financial obligation regarding this construction be submitted to the City of Coppell. In order to mimimize future traffic disruption and construction costs, and enhance the marketing of adjacent property, ABQ considers it very important to include the requested left turn lane and median openings in the current construction.
