Dear John:
Enclosed are two reduced copies of two sheets of the paving
improvement plans of Denton Tap Road adjacent to property owned
by ABQ Development Corporation. We have indicated a proposed
median opening location and left turn lanes on the plans at a
location north of the Parkway Boulevard intersection. The median
opening locations will serve adjoining ABQ property.
Mr. Wayne Ginn had previously advised me that median openings and
left turn lanes could be included in the current Denton Tap Road
improvement project upon agreement by property owners on both
sides of the road to the median opening locations. Since Univest
Development Company owns property on Denton Tap Road south of
Parkway Boulevard across from ABQ's property and had previously
indicated an interest in participating with ABQ in the
construction of median openings at this time, we provided
suggested median opening locations to Univest on July 26, 1988.
Since that time we have attempted to obtain an agreement from
Univest regarding the median opening locations in Denton Tap
Road, however, no progress has been made.
Since ABQ owns property on both sides of Denton Tap Road north of
Parkway Boulevard, we request that Ginn, Inc. include the
requested median opening and left turn lanes as shown on the
attached plans in the current Denton Tap Road improvement
project. This request is made to insure that at least this
median opening and left turn lanes can be included in the current
project without interuption of the project schedule. Also please
advise me of ABQ's obligation regarding this requested
construction.
In the meantime we will continue to pursue an agreement on median
opening locations with Univest, however, we have no indication at
this time when this will come about. Please keep me advised of
your construction schedule and your estimate of when you will
