Annexation of a portion of Denton Tap Road
April 12, 1994
While gathering information for the public heating process and the annexation process from
Gary Sieb, it was noted that Gary will very soon be in the process of annexing "Johnny
Thompson's property" on east Beltline Road. Because of the timetable associated with
annexations, it invariably requires a special City Council meeting. Therefore, my
recommendation is to hold off on the annexation of the Denton Tap Road right-of-way until such
time as Gary is ready to go forward with the Johnny Thompson annexation. By doing it that
way, only one special Council meeting will need to be called instead of two. It is anticipated
that the annexations could be completed by the first meeting in lune. This would require a
special council meeting on May 17th. Attached to this memo is a preliminary draft of a
schedule for the annexation. If this schedule meets your approval we will proceed on this
schedule.
