With regard to the general appearance of the Southwestern/ Beltline corner, I have this date arranged for removal of culverts under driveways, or installation of barricades, to prohibit the truck from parking on the site. We let the City of Coppell use the site for more than a year for free storage of the old bank building and we were promised that a clean up and removal of debris would take place upon removal of the building, but the City administration did not keep their promises. Attached is some correspondence written to the city. We will clean it up. I promised to give you copies of the interchange concepts. All the concept plans that we have explored are attached. Concept 1 and 2 will utilize the existing interchange and will require the city to acquire right of way east of Beltline/Denton Tap. Concept 3 creates two intersections but would allow access to Bullock via the existing Southwestern Drive and via the new proposed street ( a very awkward situation). Concept 4 allows access to Bullock and Howell Drive via Southwestern, heading west, and back to Beltline via our proposed new street. Concepts 1, 2, and 3 are less expensive for our company to build but these plans will direct westbound trucks and cars travelling from Carrollton to Freeport Blvd. onto Southwestern Drive by the elementary school and a small residential area. Concept 4 will take the heavy traffic through our property and away from the school and homes. Ginn, Inc. recommended to the Council last March that our Concept 4 be adopted as part of the Cityts master thoroughfare plan. I respect your judgment, and know that you will do the right thing for the city. I need your help and expertise in this difficult task and I believe somebody with the city can become a hero to the citizens by correcting a very dangerous intersection. If you have any questions that I can answer before next Tuesday night, please give me a call. TNS/ag Encl. Very truly yours, Regional Manager Ind.
