Dear Mr. Elium:
We are pleased to submit to you a proposed work program and cost of our services for
'the study of the intersection of Beltline road, Denton Tap Road and Southwestern
Drive, for your concurrence and approval. To arrive at an appropriate solution to the
intersection design we propose to perform the following tasks:
I. Determine the amount of present and future traffic volumes projected to use
the intersection, based on present zoning in its vicinity.
2. Calculate expected turning and directional movements at all approaches to
the intersection.
Prepare a minimum of (4) alternative design and ! or roadway alignment
concepts.
4. For each proposed realignment, show schematic intersection geometrics and
methods of providing access to abutting properties.
$. List advantages and disadvantages of each alternative alignment ! design and
prepare cost of improvements, including R.O.W. and construction costs.
EL Recommend an intersection design and / or alignment that would improve
traffic operations and safety and be economically feasible to implement.
7. Prepare a technical memorandum for presentation to the City Council sum-
marizing study findings and results.
The compensation for these services is based on our attached Billing Fee Schedule. The
total fee cost of the engineering investigation will not exceed $1,$00.00.
The study will be completed within one month period, with presentation to City Council
members at their first scheduled meeting in August, 1982. The work will begin im-
mediately upon your acceptance of the contract.
If this proposal meets with your approval, please sign and return a copy to me.
