only twenty hctlds ~ct up ~ d~ contract, it was our belief tl~t fl~ w~-k would gmnafily revolve investigating the
location of th~: heads, capping spri~er leads al the ROW, and cxt~ding those leads into ~e ROW atler ~mpleaon
of~e paving.
B~ upon thc mv~stlgatlons complemd to date and evaluafiom c~ducted by out migatot, il is our belief that 236
h~ds will be t~equ~ed and the majori~ of the proble~ wi~ the cx~ting systems have been identified. Within the
defined prqicct limits, EBCC has ~countorcd five separate sprinkl~ system~ that h~ to be con~letely removed
and replaced within the Ci~'s ROW. ~ese systems are spread out~ov~r 3500 LF of~; project and will rcq~c
valve work, wh.htg, new water llne, ~d new h~ads. Out l~p sumPricc for this work is ~6,964.
As s~ted previously, EBCC has remov~ ae sp[h~ler systems aad~nd Is cu~cntly ~ ~e pr~ess ot' rep~cing the
systems. Wc arc~ p~ocecding with thc work necessary to complete l~is pt'qiect and the sp~ler work that m~t
con~le;ed prior to completion of ~e parkway. The work ~ qucsti~ is within thc scope of work defined by thc
sprinkler head adlus~nent pay item and must be cmnpleted p;ior to ~on~le;ion of the parkway. If it is the Ci~'s
~lent to no1 pay t~r ~is work or to remove ~is wo;k from EBCC'S~conlxact, then plca~ ~cc~ EBCC to stop wotk
on this Rem. Please note that EBCC has already incurred costs ass~iated with this bid item and would expect to
~m~n~at~d l(~r those cos~ should the City ~lect to remove th~ item tYom the con~act
