Box 92729 South Lake, Texas 76092 Re: Excavation in Floodplain of Denton Creek Dear Mr. Adams: It has been brought to my attention that there has been a large amount of movement of dirt on your property which is located within the floodplain of Denton Creek. This type of work has not been approved by the City and therefore is in violation of City Floodplain Ordinance //94639. This letter is sent to notify you that all activities in the floodplain should be halted and any dirt that has been placed should be removed. The activity that has taken place has resulted in the removal of several trees and vegetation. While you are working to remove the dirt, you should install adequate erosion control measures to insure no silt gets into Denton Creek. The placement of erosion control does not validate your work, it only protects Denton Creek during the removal of the dirt. As has previously been conveyed to you, no dirt work should take place on this proper~ until a floodplain reclamation study has been submitted and approved by the City of Coppell and Federal Emergency Management Agency. If you have any questions concerning this request please contact me at 304-3679. Sincerely, Michael A. Martin, E.I.T. Assistant City Engineer
