Hollowell, P.E., Assist. Director of Public Wor RE: Storm Sewer Inlet ~ Indian Rock and Moore Rd. Dear Ken, We have done some further investigations into the referenced subject. We have found that the referenced inlet was tied on to a 21" RCP which has a concrete plug blocking it off. Based upon the plans we looked at a couple of weeks ago, I believe this inlet was installed on a lateral which had been cut and plugged in order to install the new 60" RCP was installed down Moore Rd. several years ago. I believe this inlet should have been installed on a 30" RCP lateral which was stubbed out as part of the 60" RCP project. In the process of investigating this problem, we noticed that the concrete pavement at this same intersection has started to settle. It is my understanding that the inlet and the concrete pavement were installed by the developer of the Austin Place subdivision. This subdivision is almost out of their warranty period. I have enclosed pictures of both of the problems. If you need any more information on this matter, do not hesitate to call. Thanks for your help.
