Submitted herein are the results of our analysis of the pavement
subgrade for the above referenced site. The subgrade was sampled
and a total of three (3) typical subgrade soil samples were
obtained. Atterberg-Limit tests were performed on three samples
and Minus 200 tests were performed on the more plastic materials.
Results of the Atterberg-Limit and Minus 200 tests are attached.
Based on results of t~he Atterberg-Limit and Minus 200 tests the
materials exposed at subgrade are below the required limit for lime
stabilization. Time constraints do not allow for determination of
percentages required for ceme~'~ stabilization, thus it is
recommended that the sand and/~l~yey sand subgrade along all'
streets could be modified with~3[0; percent (16.0 lbs per square
yard for 6 inch compacted depth)~rtland cement (by dry weight).
All modification should be performed in general compliance with
City of Coppell Standards and Specifications.
