Headquarter Site Recommendations
Three sites on Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport have been identified for future
consideration as headquarter sites. The sites are in areas that are presently undeveloped and
without utilities. Development of a headquarters facility in any of these sites would lead to further
development of these areas to their highest and best use.
Criteria developed to select the three sites included the followSng:
A natural campus-like setting
· Access to a major arterial
· Approximately 20 acres with expansion potential
· Proximity. to utilities
· Land which would not otherwise be utilized for aircraft operations
· Site w-h/ch would not conflict with the DFC' Land Use Plan
· Highest and best use of the site
· A land use that would stimulate future development on-Airport
Site A is in the southwestern section of the Airport, adjacent S.H. 360 and south of the
proposed East-West Connector. The natural topography lends itself to a campus-like setting,
similar to American Airline's Training Center to the south of S.H. 183. This area is removed
from the a/ffield proper, providing a sense of privacy, yet easily accessible to S.H 360 and the
proposed East-West Connector. The site is within the jurisdiction of the City of Euless.
Site B is in the southeastern section of the ,airport, 1200 feet off of Valley View Lane. It
sits atop a knoll and would also lend itself to a campus-like landscape. Valley View Lane is to be
widened to four-lanes, providing good access from S.H 183. Proximity to restaurants and hotels
along S.H. 183 is good. The site is within the jurisdiction of the City of Irving.
Site C is in the northeastern corner of the Airport, on the west side of Koyai Lane and
north of 1-635. The topography is an open knoll with gentle slopes. Utilities for this site would
come from the City of Coppell on the east side of Koyal Lane. The site is within the jurisdiction
of the City of Coppell.
Ail three sites are located in areas where the site could be expanded in the future..~rcraft
overflights and 65 LDN - 70 LDN would be experienced in all locations.

· At the present time the ~temporary" soil mitigation facility, is sited in the northeast corner of old County Line
Road and the haul road. The soil mitigation facility requires a 10130' buffer from other buildings. Shifting
of one. or both. of these potential u~es would be required to avoid a conllict. The highest and best use of
the land would be for the headquarters facility.
