Subject: Sandy Lake Road Water Line
Forest Cove Phase I & II
Ken:
After the Pre-construction conference for the Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Storage Tank Project, we
discussed the possibility of adding the construction of the Sandy Lake Road Water Line along the frontage of
the Forest Cove Additions to the elevated storage tank project by change order. This would be done in order
to expedite the water line construction and coordinate construction efforts with the adjacent development.
We have outlined the scope of work required to construct this segment of the water line and provided
preliminary information to Gifford Hill American Pipe Co., in order to obtain their best guess at the pipeline
production schedule. Once GHA has a~f purchase order, it will take approximately one week to complete the
production drawings for our review. Our review of the production drawings for conformante with the plans
and specifications should take no more than 2 days. Once approved drawings are in GHA hands, pipe
production and delivery to the job site should take about 5 weeks. If our contractor has equipment on site and
has completed the necessary bores in advance of the pipe delivery, it should take no more than three weeks to
complete the construction of the water line and appurtenances.
We are currently working to prepare the necessary revisions to the construction plans and the change order
documents and should be ready by the end of this week to forward to Landmark Structures, Inc. for the
change order request. At that time, we will also provide you with our opinion of probable construction cost

for this segment of work and the additional engineering and administration fees expected. If Landmark
responds favorably, we should have an executed change order in hand by the end of next week ( April 241h).
Ken, using these document preparation, pipe production, delivery and construction times, you could expect
the water line construction along the frontage of the Forest Cove Additions to proceed as follows:
Date/Schedule Description
April 24 -May 1 Prepare and Execute Change Order
May 1 -May 7 Prepare Shop Drawings
May 7 -June 11 Pipe Production and Delivery
June 1 - July 1 Construction of Water Line
In addition to discussing this change order with Landmark Structures, Inc., we also recommend discussing
construction of this segment of the water line with the utility contractor currently on site at the Forest Cove
Addition. Of course, this contractor would have to work as a subcontractor to Landmark.
